pretty impressive, that's at about the limit of the stock turbo.

I thought you were supposed to dyno in fourth gear for the '7... Not that you have to, but I remember reading that. I believe it was because it has the ratio closest to 1:1.

if you are comparing two cars in the same gear does the ratio mater?

the gear shouldnt matter, a higher gear just helps teh turbo to spool better. last time mine was on the dyno i made only two more hp in 4th, so not much difference

it is weird how wavy the graph is. what was the boost at redline?

I just recently read some dynos can also correct for a non-1 gear ratio. Some people may also be forced to run a less than optimal gear for speed reasons, usually because the tires won't take the abuse. Yesterday Syonyk made the dyno operator's first flat tire in his first gen, lol

People get too hung up on running in 4th gear.
It doesn't matter.
As long as you're comparing runs in the same gear, that's the only time it matters.
You still have drivetain loss, and running 1:1 doesn't mean jack ****.

I don't like this dyno graph cause it's too wavy.
Wavy means possible problems...

i was using a dyno jet so that may be the why you didnt make as high of numbers, some dynos read lower i dont know why that is.. well i made 240 on my old setup which was a stock atkins reman with 3mm seals, RB full exhaust hybrid S4 turbo, SAFC2, FMIC, 550 prim 720 sec injectors.. come to think of it i guess your turbo was stock so that may be why my numbers were higher too. mine was upgraded.

This was my old car about 3-4 years ago.

The car is pretty solid but i never got around to dyno'n or getting it on a wideband back then so it's nice to see what it was doing (I ran about 10psi).

I agree with Ted on that dyno graph.

The car needs a wb and bigger injectors then you might be able to tune those waves out.
