This shop is local to me, so I just called.

Apparently there was a car there from Arizona who just drove up, made one pull, then drove away....The mystery remains...

Edit...I'm willing to bet that the shop guy just had the car confused with the 30 or so RX-7s that were there a week or two ago for dyno day...
