Can't get any easier than that.

YEP good "old" technology, will get you there w/ no problems!!

go get that 10 sec timeslip, bet ya get off the gas he he he he he :Kill1:

New best time tonight

Broke 100mph in the 1/8 and 130mph in the 1/4. Only 11.5 with a 1.87 60ft. I need to work on the suspension. 10.7afr and 1.7bar/boost. Not sure if I want to lean it out or add more timing????

kabooski 02-17-07 09:22 PM

nice!

still using drag radials?

chuck8313BTSDS 02-18-07 02:38 AM

Update!

10.91 at 133.93 mph with 1.74 60ft... spinning 3rd gear..

better get in on the future DSS 300M upgraded axle/hub-stub upgrade :)

ps

more vids plz :D

kabooski 02-18-07 07:23 AM

also what was your 1/8 time on the 10.91 pass?

chuck8313BTSDS 02-18-07 08:09 AM

EM-3 SDS

On the 10.9 pass the 1/8 mile times are 7.1 at 101.97

No_Rotor_RX7 02-19-07 05:35 PM

your easily in the 6's for the 1/8th if you can maintain some damn traction! AAHAHAHAHA!!! i can't wait to hit the track :D i'm shooting for 10's with the a/c on! LOL

In car video 10.91et

http://www.rcmracing.org/amupload/10.9133.93.wmv

shift light on at 7100rpms. boost gauge is middle one on the dash. watch the wall when I shift into second gear. car goes side ways real fast. Shifted in to second gear late, around 8000rpms. Rear tires are MT ET street at 14psi. 60 ft time was 1.74. I lost by .068 of a second.

The poping at the start is not me. I don't two step.

new incar video 10.8et 1.54 60ft

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8V5c_V9VAc

did not proof read the title before posting video. it's 60ft not 50ft.

No_Rotor_RX7 03-12-07 10:44 PM

what is your mph on those runs? i love how you keep getting faster man and those 60ft's are insane! i'll have some video's for ya in a couple weeks ;)

chuck8313BTSDS 03-13-07 09:05 AM

MPH was down, 130. Shifting to early I think cause the mph to go down. My shift light comes on at 71-71 hundred rpm and it did not come on during a few shifts. I think the et came down due to my 60ft and not spinning tires when shifting to next gear.

I need a bigger hot side for more power! still running a street port ( no pins ) and stock running gear.

No_Rotor_RX7 03-13-07 10:11 PM

so how much boost you running now? 25psi on pump and water injection? :D

chuck8313BTSDS 03-14-07 03:14 PM

I use 108 octane fuel, C12.

water is two M5 nozzles that come on at 5psi and full on at 25psi. pump is a 150psi shurflow pump. Devilsown controller.

Boost in first is 20psi
second was 23psi
third is 25psi
fourth was 25psi and dropping to 20psi.
All #s are +/- a lb or two.

Looking at adding another waste gate to allow the motor to breath easier. Then maybe the boost wont fall off in 4th gear.

No_Rotor_RX7 03-14-07 04:53 PM

awesome man, i was just curious. i'm turning mine up to around 25psi next week. maybe i can hit the same times you are ;)

andrewb70 03-16-07 09:37 PM

Dude....get some bias ply front runners before you kill yourself. Your all over the track. It is totally unsafe running fat radial tires with the bias ply ET Streets. I am using some Firestone 16 inch skinnies mounted on FC spare wheels. After mounting those the car tracks as straight as an arrow.

Nice runs!

Andrew

J-Rat 03-16-07 11:19 PM

Damn.. I need to get a full pass off in my car. My 1/8th MPH was 102.

Nice passes though! You really ought to quit lifting on your shifts!

No_Rotor_RX7 03-17-07 12:48 AM

flat shifting for the win!

chuck8313BTSDS 03-17-07 10:36 PM

andrew, really! Some one offered me a set of front runners just the other day. Thanks for the info.

J, lots of folks say the same things about my shifting, slow and at a too low rpm.

Currently adding another wastegate to see if my boost will hold at 25psi. I like to think the FC can do a 10.6et and 136mph with it's current mods. Hoping the added gate will allow more cfm go through the motor for more power. Then hope for a low 10 second pass.

No_Rotor_RX7 03-18-07 12:52 AM

30psi and 9's ;)

I wouldn't say slow, but you can definitely tell you are losing some time due to re-spool. But thats just my opinion. Some people don't like to speed shift, it really is hard on the transmission. Plus if your transmission isn't in good shape, you will get locked out of the gears.

J-Rat 03-18-07 01:43 PM

On a side note, is there any reason your AFRs are in the mid-tens?

chuck8313BTSDS 03-19-07 07:50 AM

AFRs in the low 10s.. Trying to get it to the high 10s but the power is there with afrs in the low 10s, why go to what everyone think/says the best power is, 11.5. When I do get it on the dyno I will try to tune to a leaner afr, it's hard to monitor at the track. Running low 10s afr and shifting at 7200rpms may extend the motor life. With the water injection, the motor is clean and preventing carbon build up from the low afrs.

Just installed another waste gate to see if my boost will hold at 25psi. If this works, then the boost will go up a few lbs. Now running two 38mm gates. Looks like rain this week so #s will have to wait a week or so.

Uh, thats not what EVERYONE says, its been PROVEN. But you are right, if your power is there and you are happy with it, press on. However, with water (or alcohol in my case), 10.5 is ridiculous safe.

chuck8313BTSDS 03-19-07 11:19 AM

J,

How much more power is 11.5 vs 10.5? I know leaner is faster but wondering how much faster is the 1 point afr. And how much more "stress" it puts on the motor? And my timing, will I have to retard some? right now it's at 20deg BTDC. One of the other things I think about when trying to tune to 11.5 is that leaves my tuning margin very small. Trying to tune at the track is a little crazy anyways, guess I'll have to put the thing on the rollers.
thanks
chuck
