Dyno'd hybrid s5

Had my car on the dyno yesterday, 90 degrees and they didnt have a fan for the front of the car, I dont think that helped the fmic. lol

first run 13psi 285hp-260ft/lbs

(peak power is at 6k rpm, boost bleeds to 9psi at redline)

second run 10 psi 255hp-220ftlbs

so how do the #'s sound? was hoping for 300 but i think the heat and no fan did me in. i got a full 60-1 garrett, greddy stainless mani. setup with haltech waiting to go on, but wanted to see what this did.

stock ports also.

Ill try to get the sheet posted, mods are in the sig

Shoot... For stock ports, that doesn't sound too bad. Then again, I'm not quite familiar with your turbo setup...

Do you personally think you'd have hit 300hp with the fan / cooler day etc.?

I bet he would. 90 degres is hott! plus no fan and having the radiator right there. i bet he could break 300.

well i am glad that it is running up to par then,

ok

550's primary
750"s secondaries
safc-II controlling the fuel
Blitz sbc-id BC

the turbo is a hybrid i made, i bought a garrett t5/6 trim compressor housing, backplate, and balanced wheel and paired it to the stock hotside (wg ported extremely) and center section, I put new bearings and seals in also.

it really spools and holds boost nice, i was having problems on the dyno with boost because it would spike to the where i have the limiter on the boost controller set (15.5psi) for a split second and then the controller would cut the boost to 12-13ish and wouldnt regain the boost. i didnt have enough tiime on the dyno to make changes that i needed, (the boost controller needed to relearn the wg pattern)

went out on the road afterward made the changes i needed and fixed it, was gonna go do it again, but they were done,

i know that with the boost fixed and a fan iit would easily break 300

afrs are right around 11.5-12, little bit of glitches when i go to WOT, nothing the haltech wont fix (the runs were done on 89 ethanol, lol and no knock)

i will be putting the 60-1 setup on shortly and will be looking to get rid of the hybrid, and one more i made, (the one on my car now, has about 3500 miles, the second is the same thing just with no miles on it yet) so if anyone wants one make me an offer

usmcjsy, i am still in waph. i really want to see your car also, we need to set it up for some weekend (Dynotune USA out of watertown did the dyno) when you got a weekend free or whatever let me know

and RETed, i like the turbo way more, lol, cant wait for the full setup, cant imagine what another 100hp ontop of this feels like

still trying to find a scanner so i can get the sheet up

zac
