Well, if you want some numbers from a comparable setup I might be able to help. I just got back from the dyno, and put down 231hp and 246 torque.

Setup: 3" dp, 3" mp, 2.5" yp, HKS intake, Aeromotive FPR, Racing Beat FCD, HKS EVC IV Boost Controller set @ 0.65Bar approx 10psi.

I also ran the 1/4 last weekend and pulled of a 14.1 @ 100mph on a normal tire w/ normal pressure.

Hope that helps.

Sounds good. I've been doing a little tinkering and I borowed my friends tires, so we're going to the track this weekend and we are going to try and hit a mid 13. If I manage to do that, you should be able to hit your numbers no prob.

you mean 231 CRANK horsepower right? cause if you meant 231 whp then you shoud definitely be running faster than a 14.1.......

Ease up a little bit bro, it was my first time at the track and I only made three passes. I don't understand why there always has to be one person who goes into a thread and just flames.

Just so you know, I should be going back to the track this weekend so I hope I can pull off some better times and gain your respect........

lol dont worry about my respect. but regardless of launching, etc. your trap speed should somewhat display how much power your car is making.

were your dyno numbers at the flywheel or wheels?

I went back to the dyno on Fri. night. It was a different place than the last time and I'm told that this one give more acurate readings.

My best run was 240 RWHP and 270 ft-lbs of torque @ 9.0 Bar. We turned the boost down to 8.0 Bar and adjusted the fuel a little and I ran 231 RWHP and 250 ft-lbs of torque.

I went back to the track on Sat. and for the life of me I cannot launch without bogging out. I ended up running a 14.1 1/4 mile @ 102.5mph with a 2.3 60ft.

I would have kept practicing, but on my second pass I busted something. Still havn't had a chance to check it out yet. I was able to drive the car home but something is definetly wrong. It deccelerates normally, but when I get on the gas, it sounds like crap, won't accelerate properly, back fires like a bitch and it almost stalls out at idle. I think I might have just popped a vaccum line off somewhere, but I also havn't discounted the fact that I may have fucked the motor in some way.

Well, I guess I'll find out today.

"240 RWHP and 270 ft-lbs of torque @ 9.0 Bar." WTF?!?
Sorry something just seems wrong there. 270ft-lbs of torque seems quite high for the mods you have..

"for the life of me I cannot launch without bogging out"
its either bogg out or spin out.. most people are like that until they get practice.

Sorry guys, I ment 0.9 bar ans 0.8 bar. It was late and I was tiered. My mistake.

As for the dyno readings, I **** you not. I have more torque than hp don't ask me how though.

hmmmm that doesnt sound good. a vacuum leak (unless it is a very huge one) wouldnt cause those symptoms at that level. head up to autozone or your local autoparts store and get a compression tester. see how much peak compression both of your rotors are making. then take the little pressure-hold needle out of the bottom and make sure you have compression on all 3 rotor faces.

.9 bar is alot of boost. ESPECIALLY if you have an anywhere-near-stock fuel system. i was running .7bar on the dyno when i made 222whp/210tq and it was too lean (226whp sae corrected). you say you turned the boost down to .8 bar and tuned the fuel some; what were you using the tune the fuel? if you give us this information we can pretty much figure out if you've blown your engine or not...

what are your fuel mods?

I have a Racing Beat FCD, Aeromotive FPR, and a Walbro 255lph FP. We used something called a "five gas scanner"? or something like that. I think its similar to a high budget wideband O2.

I took the car over to my shop today and they gave me the bad news. Engine is shot. Not really surprised though, at that point I was racing on hopes and dreams more than anything else.

They are going to rip the engine apart tomorrow morning to wee what, if anything we can salvage and then go forward from there.

Well I guess thats it for this season. See everyone in 05.

i was at there when dyno'd his car.........and i **** you not........its a torque monster....haha

mike at DL motorsports knows what hes doing. he has more then enough fuel for his .9 bar.......

but the stock intercooler is just not up to those boost levels...... before the dyno run the intercooler would be semi-cool or roomish temperature.....but one pull, in 4th gear 2k up to 7.5 k....would result in and over heated intercooler.....basicly hot enough to get a really bad burn on your hands........

so to all turboll owners..........a FMIC is one of the first upgrades you should do.....
