Aux Bridge NA stock ecu

The car would have run a little higher but the tech let off a little early. The second run was with the six ports/aux bridges closed so that i could see when the best time to open them is, 5750 seems to be, i was 750 off. The third run should have been a full power run all the way to 7800 but i fried the rpm switch when i unpluged it for run 2 and you only get 3 runs so i couldnt just wire them open and go again.

relevent mods:
RB header
straight pipe to stock Y to "seven stock seven RB bargin bin" mufflers
Fc100 ignition
cone filter
electronic 6-port actuation

ported/port matched intake manifolds

aux bridge motor

so this is a dead stock ecu as well? damn. You should get someway to tune that thing man. safc or something. Megasquirt or some form of ems would probably bring that thing right to life. Nice numbers though.

dead stock ecu, the AFR's dont look to bad to me, so i dont think i'd pick up more then 5 hp with an AFC. A megasquirt is in the worrks however, along with a differnt exhaust system, and a different intake manifold. The mega squirt is mainly so that i can increase the rev limit. I dont have much experience tunning however, so if someone disagrees with me about the AFR's being pretty good, please let me know.

Slight update, while troubleshooting the rpm switch i discovered that the pressure feed for my 6-ports blew off at the airpump, so the 6-ports got slammed closed at ~7500 rpm. To much mad crazy airpump boost yo :-)

that looks really lean to me! you shouldnt be anywhere near 14.7 or 14 for that matter when the engines under load like that. I'd bump up the fuel pressure or something asap, while you build the megasquirt.

Interesting, thank you, i was thinking that was right around where i wanted to be. maybe i'll get a FPR till i get the megasquirt all set up. The red dotted line on the graph is 12.5:1 i think, so that going to make the top end a bit too rich.

Dang, his power really drops around 3,700 rpm, is that the classic grounding problem I hear about? I finally got my first rotary so I'm sort of a newbie and sort of not, lol.

i believe that dip at ~3600 is from the aux ports opening, but i could be wrong.

All other ports (primary, secondary and exhaust) are not ported?

The aux ports are opening at 5k in that graph.

The dip at 3500 is most likely the grounding/secondary injector issue common to FC's

All ports are ported but only the auxes are bridged.

So why does my stock-rebuilt S5 only make 99whp / 100ft-lb. on a Dyno Dynamics? It runs waaaay rich beyond about 5K rpm....like 10:1 and then craps itself out....recently discovered some limp mode issues, added grounds, etc.

Stock S5 engine, no porting (that I know of, didn't pay the guys enough to port it hehe)
Short REPU header converging into stock front cat (custom and required for our racing class), heatshield-wrapped
Stock-replacement main cat, not gutted, not melted (we looked).
RB pullies
Stock S5 ECU
HKS intake
6-ports are functioning

FWIW, the car only made about 68whp with the VDI scroll not working....nothing like picking up 31hp by having everything "working correctly".

Any help? I guess I need to not hijack your thread and scan my dyno sheet.....not a ton of NA guys posting stuff recently.

Ive heard dyno dynamics numbers run about 17% lower then a dynojet, which puts you at aout 115 rwhp. Thats only ~10 hp lower then stock. Also the car may not be running as rich as you think if you used a tailpipe 02 hook up, as the cat burns oxygen. Where was peak power? it should be at ~6.5k on a stock car, if it is below that something might be going wrong up high like ignition break up or something.

No worries aout hijacking the thread, us NA guys have to stick together :-)
