90 Turbo II - 240RWHP / 240TQ

Mods are :

3" Downpipe
3" Midpipe
2.5" K&N Cone Intake
TurboXS Manual Boost Controller set at 11psi
Microtech LT-8
Removed Airpump
Walbro 255lph
1000cc secondary injectors

Stock Turbo, Stock catback, Stock ports, Stock intercooler, Air Conditioning/Powersteering/Cruise all intact .

Put down 240 RWHP and 240 TQ at 11 psi. I only put down another couple HP at 13 psi so I dialed it back. We shall see how it goes at the track on August 6th.

I was running 14.8 last year with just an HKS intake (187RWHP / 175 TQ). I am hoping for high 13's .... wish me luck, I'll need it .

can you post the dyno graph?

you'll definitely run atleast high 13's. make sure you post your 1/8th mile time to, it should be on your 1/4 mile timeslip. (i wanna compare cause all we have around here in 1/8th mile)

on my jspec @ 13lbs and pumpgas wth the safc maxed out i ran an 8.48@84mph in the 1/8th mile, which SHOULD be high 12's in the 1/4.

I'll have to scan it....

My 1/8 mile on my 14.8 run was 9.5@76.4 MPH last year. Would it really be that hard to get down to a 8.48 1/8 mile like you. It's only a 1.02 second difference. We should be similar I think.

12's though ??? I would go nuts if I ran 12's ............

No, that's not enough power for 12's unless you're going to use slicks.

There is no boost creep ............ I have to use a boost controller just to make 11 psi ......... otherwise it was making 7 leaking to 5 .

your 9.5 sec 1/8th suggests a bad RT time or lots of wheel slip or just not enough experience...with a 8.6 you can still run a 13.6..I have...you just need more power up top...higher rpms....and that is what you mods gave you.....your first 5 runs or so should be just to dial in your RT and your 1/8...get that to a 8 or even a 8.6 and you should be in the mid to LOW 13's...the 13.6 run was with a grandpappy .960 RT time....so at my usual .5ish or .6ish RT I could have ran a 13.2 or so...

well..maybe it does not..I did not realize that you had no mods then..sorry...you can easily run mid 13's....to get to HIGH 12's you will need 15 inch slicks, a .510 RT time and a 8 sec 1/8 th..throw out EVERYTHING that you can...1/4 tank gas...bout a 4k-5k drop at the start-with slicks baby..good luck

Yeah, I was basically stock when I ran my 14.8 1/4 mile . I suppose we will find out this Friday how things go.

Just ran last night .

Best was 13.5 @ 103 MPH . 2.1 60ft. and an 8.7 @ 82MPH 1/8 mile.

All my other runs of the night consisted of massive wheel hop/spinning which had my 60ft times between 2.3 and 2.6. That was giving my 14.1 second passes.

Other people I raced:

NEW GTI 15.6 @ 93MPH

05 LANCER RALLIART 15.9 @ 86MPH

RSX-S 15.3 @ 94MPH

SUPERCHARGED CIVIC 14.9 @ 95 MPH

5th GEN PRELUDE 15.6 @ 86 MPH (not last night)

TURBO CIVIC 15.1 @ 93 MPH (not last night)

13B STREETPORT RX7 15.4 @ 88 MPH (not last night)

That's about right.
Ignore the comments from the peanut gallery.
I ran a 13.447 @ 105.00 putting down 253.9hp at the wheels on a DynoJet.
60' time was a paltry 2.143 - bad camber in rear I found out later.

You 60' time can be improved to about 2.0 flat - this would knock off another 0.2 seconds off the 1/4 time.

I dunno if you have larger fuel injectors, but you're close to maxing out a stock set of 4x550's.

I have some 1000cc secondaries in there. No worries in the fuel department yet. The temperature outside was about 25 - 30 C that night . Pretty damn hot. Just with colder weather and a 2.0 60 ft. I am expecting 13.3 at best.

Thanks for your input. Glad to see that I'm running somewhat normal times. I dynoed 238.8 rwhp also on a dynojet so it looks like im running what I should compared to you.

Different track, different grip, different elevation, different temperature, stock cat-back and 10psi for me. There are many unknowns here.

New E46 BMW M3's (333hp) were running 14.2's .
