210 rwhp 6psi stock turbo. .

I don't have a scanner but will have a friend scanit soon. I got her dynoed today and pulled 210rwhp at 6psi. (after sae corrections it was 203.6) I'm very happy with the hp number but only pulled out 148.9 for tq. . that just doesn't seem right to me. Anyhow my mods are: Racing beat turbo back exhaust, rtek 1.5, no emisions, TB mod, 3 inch DIY TID, altinator relocation bracket, no a/c, no p/s, <10000 miles on a kevin landers rebuild, stock ports I beleive, stock tmic, act stage 3, racing beat plug wires, Ported wastegate to 35mm, ssac turbo manifold. I think that's about it. . lol I'll try to get the graph up soon, but the TQ just doesn't seem correct. What to yall think?

why only 6psi? is that a result of the huge wastegate porting or are you running a boost controller?

huge wastegate. I have no boost controller. Boost controllers can only raise boost. That's my next purchase along with something to tune it with. She was running a little lean for my liking. about 12.44 plus or minus a little. It went into the high elevins from 6800-8500. Do you think this could be from running so little boost that the ecu didn't compensate with much fuel?

that boost does seem awful low. i imagine 8-10 psi will improve your numbers significantly. but considering your mods??

I'm waiting to see the pics of the actual graphs.
Something is not right.
The stock turbo cannot make that kinda power at that low a boost.
The low torque is a hint that the hp number is not correct.

The boost may not be terribly acurate, all I ws going by is a shitttty *** sunpro gauge. At the most I feel like it could have been like 7 or 8 psi. It was weird, it would only hit like 4psi(gauge reading) until it hit like 5k+ rpm, then it went up to like 6 or what ever. I have a feeling that the washer that I welded on for the ported wastegate could have fallen off or something cause there was crazy amounts of lag. I'll try to post the graph today

come on, the graph's posted. Someone must have some input for me. Oh it looks like I cut the bottom of the graph off with the rpm's. The graph starts at 2000 and the last line/edge is 9000, he let off at 8500. Thanks
Dom

Hey Dom C, I'm having a terrible time finding my old dyno sheet. I can't remeber the TQ but I put down 187 rwhp @ 4 psi. IIRC, I had an intake, and no ps, ac. Some other stuff to, but nothing major.

What actually stands out on your mod list is that you have a full exhaust, and your gauge is only registering 6psi.

yea but I have a pretty big wastegate, which keeps the boost pretty low. I did some wot pulls today in 3rd which is the gear the dyno was done in and was able to hit 8psi max. This is on an autometer gauge so I think it's accurate.

Why doesn't that graph show RPM's? It looks like your AFR's were wacky lean on the low end...

The graph does show rpm's but the scanner didn't pick them up. The graph starts at 2g's and the last line is 9g's. We let off the gas at about 8500 rpm, and peaked at like 7500rpm.

it could be from the full exsaust. when i dynoed my car, all i had was a 2.5 down pipe, TID that was hella ghetto and a race pipe on the stock exsaust where the cat should go. i made 202hp at the wheels and something like 184lb/ft of tourqe. but i was allso in 4th gear. why did he dyno your car in 3rd? 4th is direct thats where it should be dynoed at. if its a stick anyway...i will have to dig for my graph, but i was running stock boost levels and my afr's were actually rich!!! like 13's i dont know my car is weird. i allso only ran mine to 7k becouse of a smoking prob when i would let off at high rpm's. i hope this helps, and i would like to see you get this problem solved. good luck!!!!

P.S. a safc would be a good idea too

Nothing looks wrong, except for the fact the number on your torque is low.
Ignition timing in spec?
