I'm kind of wondering why they're trapping so low, i'd expect a bit more than that with 560hp. How much does that car weigh?

Your confused. He's not making 560rwhp. Maybe 560bhp. And about 440rwhp.

I didn't even state rwhp or what, I'd still expect a bit more since quite a few of us in the high 300 low 400 range have trapped 130+, albeit at a lower speed, just curious.

That statement just confused me. I might be misunderstanding.

Making 594whp we were trapping in the mid 140's on slicks.

I was just wondering why it seems the lower HP guys are trapping higher, but pulling the quarter in a lower time, is this because they can get off the line so much quicker and top out but lose the high-end or what? Just a bit confused.

i would think that it should be the other way around, maybe the low hp guys would get off the line but it seems the high end pull of a higher HP car should make for a higher trap speed even if the lower hp car still had a lower et

That's what I'm wondering, I've seen a few of the 380-420hp guys trapping 125-130 in the low 11's, but then i see the 500+hp guys trapping 120 at 10's, kind of makes me wonder.

BS!

with a TII tranny? and 4.10 gears
don't think so

JD has run 10.8@126-8

If you want to trap higher
get 3.90 diff
or a diffrent tranny

he does not know FC's or FD's
it seems

Look at Ari Yallon Sonic
tell me what he does in the MPH
with 600+ to the wheels

The limiting factor in our cars is the stock gear ratios
thats why in australia they use corona and celica/early supra tranny's

Actually, a quick start will get you a lower trap at a given time than a car with a slower start. The sooner you can get going fast, the less time it takes to cover a certain distance.

Actually, thats not true either. Your time doesn't start till you break the beam. R/T's don't affect your ET's at all.

I was actually refering to carx7 trapping 121 @ 12.4, and my own car which has trapped 125, and I know damn well i'm not over 400rwhp. I do weigh quite a bit less though, coming in around 2400lbs. And to further this, everyones posted 5-600hp cars, which i said seem to trap less but pull off a greater average speed. Where as i've seen quite a few lower HP cars pull 11-12's anywhere from 120-130, and yes, they WERE fc's.
