That's a fast time but you are running way too much boost and your launch is way too good for that 1/4 mile time.

I ran a 11.8 when my car wasn't even running right with 15-16psi on pump gas and a 1.8 60 time. I also lost all power after the launch temporarily because the fuel went to the back of the tank. I would have had an 11.6 on that run when compared to my other time slips. With your launch and my car not having the fuel pressure drop problem and being tuned extremely rich to compensate I would have been in the 10s at the same boost levels with pump gas. I also doubt your small turbo can pump out more than 20psi efficiently.

There's a guy on this board who fabbed a special tank with baffles in it, so if you went left, right, gassed it, or hit brakes, the gas would flow under these hinged baffles so that the gas was always at the center lowest point, to avoid gas starvation. IT was for a 3rd gen, all made out of Aluminum IIRC, but he said with the time and cost involved he wouldn't even think of making another one. But man, it is a work of art in it self.
I can't seem to remember who it was that did this.
Maybe he'll speak up..................

Raj: I'm just guessing if I had run 24 psi with racegas and my car running perfect like it did in the end with a 1.5_ 60 foot I think I would have gotten in the 9s lol...realistically mid 10s

Thanks brother. I remember reading that thread a while ago. I'm out of RX-7s now. You really don't need any of that **** any way. I wasn't planning on launching that hard that's why I only had 1/2 tank. After that launch I went and got another 1/4 you should always have 3/4 tank when launching hard at the track. If you have **** tires and you spin you don't need but 3/8 tank but with DRs or slicks when the car takes off you need at least 3/4 tank.

WELL WHAT CAN I SAY
WE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM TO
the car was backfiring
it was low on gas
so now we keep it filled up never had this happen before with any other car

well the turbo is a tubonetics 60-1
the boost varies a bit like between 20-25

i know with this power we should be in the 10s with these 60fts
but what now?????
change out the ring and pinion or go back and make more power???

With a 60-1 and 24 pounds on pump/C16 you should be around 125MPH I would think.

Do you know the specs on the 60-1?

In my personal opinion, the car doesn't seem to be tuned right or if its a smaller 60-1 the motor is outflowing the turbo.

on the out flowing the turbo i think your right

on the dyno it feels like its not boosting more when we crank it up
i really had to turn the **** from the dna boost controller just to get it from 20 -25 psi

well rolo from CFT tuned the car like 2 months ago
HE SAID THAT WE NEEDED A LARGER TURBO

How big is the port you have on your car, and do you know what a/r the exhaust side is on the 60-1. Regardless though, a 60-1 is a smaller single for an FD. Sounds to me more and more like your flowing too much for the turbo.

If you wanted to get a few runs in at lower boost levels, you could see where the turbo is dropping off and confirm the motor outflowing the turbo.

a 4.33 will get you better times. You will have less of a waste going into 4th at the end cause not only will you fall into the powerband but you will also shift a bit sooner and stay within it longer. As it is most of us with the 4.10 are barely going into 4th just before the trap...I even tried to just redline it out and made little difference. Whatever i gained by not shifting i lost by rev limit(should have raised it to 8,800)

Definitely a bigger turbo. You should be trapping 119 at like 15-17 psi.....

he's just trying to push too much boost through that turbo. You'll be fine with the 60-1 as long as you are happy with an 11 second car .
