1/4 mile results

I finally got around to going to the track to run my 7. I am by no means a professional as you can see from my numbers...but thought I would post them up as my car is very lightly modded, and a lot of people are always asking what these cars do in the 1/4 with an average driver. The temperature was 40 degrees today. Good for intake temps...bad for traction.

60' 2.029
1/8 8.986
MPH 78.17
1/4 13.896
MPH 100.24

Good Times

Those times look decent. Were you getting any traction problems?

Yeah...with it being so cold. I was also just running regular street tires, so I was spinning through most of first. Problem was when I would try to launch at a lower rpm to avoid spinning as much...I would either bog down or get nasty wheel hop. But I guess it wasn't too bad of a time, seeing as most magazines got times between 14.0 and 14.2 on the touring models. I do have an intake and downpipe, but the car has 90,000 miles on the original engine and turbos.

WOW that is a good time for your car. With the milage and the fact that it is the stock motor, very impressive. Im going to run my RX7 in the spring, i only have 12000kms on my 96 RX7 R2 so im hoping for good numbers

I appreciate it man, I was hoping for a slightly lower time. But everyone has been telling me that those numbers are great for the conditions and the mods on my car. Maybe when it gets a little warmer and I can hook up better...I'll put some mid 13s up there.
