Zeal coilovers
Zeal coilovers
Oh yes. I am back. 25 years around this forum but atleast five years from my last post. I Need some suspension help.
I’ve had my zeals for many years (10+years and about 20k miles. I notice I get some bounce in my car and maybe feels under dampened. I am considering two options. Having the zeals inspected and tuned up or rebuilt. Or just getting ohlins.
so my questions are these. First has anyone dealt with endless? I emailed them and got zero response. I’d love for them to look at them and rebuild if necessary. Cost? But I also realize this is a Japanese company and it could be a giant headache and I hate headaches.
or option two is just getting ohlins. Everyone raves about them but they aren’t cheap. And if I recall zeals are considered on par with ohlins. But I realize that was back in 2005. Lol. So really is the smart thing to do just to get new tech and go with ohlins?
I kinda like the idea of keeping the zeals since they are Jdm and the car was built with Jdm rare parts so it’s kind of a cool story for the car.
anwyays it’s good to post again and I hope all the old school members that I used to be friendly are still around and doing well. And to the new members it’s great to have you on board.

Have you considered having them rebuilt here in the States(assuming you're from Connecticut)? Personally, I'd go that route if the strut assemblies aren't of an obscure design/spec, where servicing them isn't possible.

I've also been running on Zeals for years. They have treated me great. I've had no reason to service them but Endless USA is in California and from what I've read on other forums, they're pretty easy to deal with.
Here's their phone number. They're located in Huntington Beach and can definitely rebuild/service your coil overs.

I have a dual spring Ohlin setup ( 11's) and all aluminum zeal function (xs?) 11/10.
I found the zeal to be a bit more smooth on local roads, but am still considering the move from 11/10 to 10/8. That means i need a pair of springs. According to the folks at Zeal here in California, i can keep the same valving for both setups which gives me more options. You may remember the GAB R 10/8 setup. Like you, I've had the car over 25yrs, so the smoother ride preference may also have something to do with that.
I found the folks at Zeal responsive, Give them another try and consider spring options in addition to re-valve options.
Let us know how things go.
