I've never heard Work Wheels referred to as light.

Perhaps the magnesium wheel from the IT-S line but noone can afford those

Although 17x12 you aren't going to have a helluva lot of choices of wheel - so that makes the decision easier

"Fool's Fashion" is right. Why would anyone in their right mind run HREs on the track anyway? They're known as more of "Bling Bling" show wheel and they're also damn heavy to boot!

I think it's becasue HRE make believes that their wheels are extremely strong, which should be true....just like other forged wheels.

That doesn't mean anything. Put the wheel on a scale and tell us what it says.

Assuming Tireracks weights are correct, 285/35/18 weigh 26lbs. So, RX7UP's VS-XXs in 18x10 weigh about 26lbs.

For comparision, I have Kinesis K58 in 18x9 with 50 offset and they weigh 19lbs each. I believe that Kinesis makes both racing (lighter) and street wheels as Steve Cirian's 18x10 K58s weighed 24 lbs according to his site.

I'd say that the Work wheel VS-XX are about an average weight for a 18X10, 3 piece Wheel. Closer to the lighter side of the 3 piece 18X10 spectrum....
