Will these wheels fit? (2nd Gen)
This was posted in the 2nd Gen specific, but I was told to post it here.
I just got done doing a search, but I couldn't find the information I was looking for. I want to get a set of Sparco NT-R's for my 91 T2. I know the factory wheel size is 16x7 at a 40mm offset. The Sparco wheels are 17x8 at 42mm offset and 17x9 at 35mm offset. Those are the only offsets offered that I can find. From my math, the fronts should be a 1/2" wider on the inside and outside compared to the stock wheel, give or take an 1/8". The rears would be 7/8" more to the inside and about 1 1/4" wider to the outside. Just eyeballing my car, it doesn't look like they'd fit to well in the rear. Would I be better off going with 17x7 at 45mm in the front with the 17x8's in the rear? The 17x7's would be just shy of 3/4" more to the inside and is just over a 1/4" to the outside.

Hope this helps:
http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html
It appears: O/S I/S
Fronts +.433 +.59
Rears +1.18 +.787
I would think the front would hit. There's not much clearance with the stock wheels.

That's what I used to get all my measurements that I posted. I just converted them all to inches since it makes more sense to most people, including myself.
I was thinking that if I had the fenders rolled, that the fronts would fit. It's the inch and a quarter more to the outside in the rear that I was afraid of not fitting.

I might have to use the 17x7's on the front and put a spacer on the hub to kick the wheels out a bit more. Either that, or go with some coilovers to give more clearance.

Not much with the FC in the front. Sometimes you get less room depending on how much you've lowered the ride. Due to the new "low position" of the spring perch.
BBS reccommends this fitment, a 17,8 with +42. You need to look at the section widths of the tires and get the smaller one. You'll be alright. The rear will work fine. You can get a 5mm spacer for the front if you want. Get the HR ones, that are hubcentric and studded.
