Will 17x10 fit on an FC?

Thinking about going 17x8.5 out front 17x9.5 out back, or 17x9 f, 17x10 r.

Will the 9.5 or the 10 fit? What offset would I need? If neither will fit, what is the widest that will fit without having to modify anything? And what offset?

Yes they will and without fender flairs.. But your offset has to be perrrrfect. I had some CCW's and the offset was + 30mm and running a 275-40. It was close to the trailing arms so I did run a 2mm spacer on the track and that was about perfect. If you run a 265 you can get away with +33 to +27..

Rears: stick with a 9.5 +35 to +30mm, again it will be about right on both sides

The fronts get real tricky. 17 x 8.5 +40mm offset w/ 225-45... Okay, so you can only run a 225 max up front anyway so why bother with an 8.5 or 9" up front... Do ya feel me? I'd get a 8" +35mm perfect offset and for a 225 tire

A 235-40-17 will fit up front on a 17x8 rim with a 2.5" coilover.

not only stick out but hit your trailing arm. I already made that mistake once. I am running FN01RC 17x10 +35 on my FC no problems. But i agree, that's the threshold.

Not sure, it's been a while. They were TSW Hokenheim off the shelf. So check wat they offer that is close. i think I used a sheet metal spacer ~1/16" Carl

I bought the 17x8's from Carl and didn't use any spacer. I did have K2RD 2.5" coilovers on the car (400/275#), and 235/40/17 Toyo RA-1's with unrolled fenders. They worked out great. The tire up front was very close to the spring though but never contacted it. Out back you could definately go wider with rolled fenders.

As mentioned you will most likely need to go with custom offset rims. $$$

I guess those 17x10 RPF1's +38mm offset you were going to sell me wouldn't have worked without a spacer on a 275/40,right?I guess I would have been in for a suprise.

They don't make the RPF1 in that size with that offset.. The +38mm wheel is a 17 x 9.5 and it will fit with a 275-40...

Are you sure? I know they make a +18mm 17 x 10 RPF1.. I suppose they do, and good luck getting one...

It was listed on the japan enkei web site and ARD T2 said he could special order it apparently.Anyways that's a mute point as they are not worth the $500 bones he was quoting me...In that case it's just better to go with the 17x9.5(+38) and a thin spacer for 1/2 the cost roughly or get the 17x10's(+18) and run a overfender with a 275/40 tire.

Did you have trouble getting the 17x10(+18)? I talked to one wheel/tire place and they said they checked with enkei and could get them..But that in itself may not mean anything as I've never delt with them.

I never checked to see if they had wider than 9.5" that would fit. I knew the offset had to be +38 to around +27 and didn't bother with a 10"... 275 fits fine on a 9.5 anyway.

Ya, 500.00 isn't worth it for RPF1 wheels.. Hell you can get CCW's for that and there light years better than the RPF1's. Plus, John @ CCW can make you wheels to fit perfect. I talked to him and he made 17 x 9 front and 17x 10 rear for an FC with 245's up front for tyres.... Love to see that, but I do know he's extremely offset/back space smart. He made 17 x 11's fit on Wyum's FD with little tweak'n.. I think Wyum had to bend the trailing arms a bit.. Sounds like fun.
