Wierd clunk from rear end in FC

When I hit the brakes on my 89 GXL, the rear end makes a funny clunking sound. It sounds like there is something whaking the caliper every time the rotor comes around. My dad seems to think it is a cracked rotor. The car sat for over a year and I just revived it with the ATF trick... The brakes work fine, but that sound and vibration from the rear is rather disturbing. Any idea what it may be?

cracked rotor is a good bet, happens to me quite often with the TA after a track event. Pull the rear wheels and check them, it's not hard. While in the air, look for loose nuts/bolts, broken parts, shocks, etc.

Talking

sounds like a rear mount or a control-arm.

Well I didnt find a cracked rotor. What I did find was a whole bunch of rust scale where the pad contacted the rotor for a year. It was like 1/32 high, so I think thats enough to cause rotor vibration.
