Wierd Braking problem

My Fd3s is having a wierd brake problem, even If I brake steadily, on light braking, the car feels like Im modulating my brake pedal on and off and on and off.
almost feels like the rear brakes are letting go then grabbing then letting go and grabbing and so on... looks like plenty of pads, but the steering is wobbling slightly under heavy braking which would lead me to believe it possibly has warped discs.

Could warped discs cause such symptom ? what else could cause this sort of problem ?

thanks

regards,

It sounds like you do have pad deposits on your rotors. Warping really doesn't happen, it's a deposit of brake material called cementite which is what you're feeling. With as small a layer as .0004" thick, you will feel this pulsing effect.

You can get your rotors resurfaced, buy new rotors, try re-bedding your pads, or just live with it. More info here: http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/wp...rakedisk.shtml

Also, the fact that you feel it through the steering wheel is more indicative of the front rotors. If you felt it in your seat, this would be more indicative of the rear rotors.

The rotors may have too much run-out.
Have a brake shop check this, but be sure to watch to insure they are doing it correctly.

Or get your own dial indicator and base, and do the test yourself.
