225s on stock S5 TII wheels?

ok, I feel like a dummy posting this, but I couldn't find it anywhere.

I'm putting a set of r-compounds on my good wheels and am going to use my stockers to drive around on again. I was wondering what kind of spacer I'll need to run 225/50/16s on the front. I have coilovers. I'm thinking I can probably fit them with a 5mm spacer, but I'm not sure how much more the 16" tire is going to buldge.

has anyone run 225s on the stock 16x7 +40 wheels?

no one?

*shrug* I ordered my tires Friday, I'll post when I figure out how much of spacer I need to put on before they fit.

I realize it's possible, but there is no way those fit without a spacer.

Have any dyno maps of it?

hmmm thats wierd, i have 245/45 16 on my stock 10ae rims with no spacers, the only difference from stock is, intrax lowering springs with stock struts, no spacers or rubbing

wierd, it might be because of my coilovers, they're probably thicker than stock by quite a bit.

i ran into the same problem except im running megan coilovers, which to me look less wide then the stock setup. yet im rubbing on 225/50/16 on S5 T2 wheels.

I even ran some 7/16 mm spacers and couldn't get the front to sit correctly. This was with camber 0 out though. Which I might add, made the front end look retarded.

I'm thinking about going to a 205 or 215 in the fronts since i really don't want to be running crazy camber.

Where are you rubbing? camber won't affect rubbing on the strut side... I'm now running 5mm spacers and don't rub at all with my stock S5 TII wheels.

I'm assuming you mean 7/16 inch spacers which are about 11mm so I'm assuming you're rubbing on the fender... dial in 1 or 1.5 degrees of negative camber and you should be good to go.

anybody else running 245/45's on 10AE or T2 wheels? need a spacer? I got 225's all around on 10AE's. No spacer, no rub.
