Widest tire in the rear ???

I was hoping someone could help me with the above question.

I am wondering what is the WIDEST tire I can run in the rear of a FD with coilovers and NO fender flares ???

im pretty sure they determined it isnt good to go with anything over a 285 tire without rolling the rear fenders.

lol...

I will roll the hell out of the fenders. I wanted to know if I could run 305/30 in the rear as I was told with the one piece front end I am looking to install, I will run that in the front. I was hoping to get the same size rubber all around and not have to use fender flares. I understand that with the right offset 285 is easily done.

My question is only in regards to the REAR TIRES. (not the front)

I recall some cars running 305s in the rear without any flares. It fits. However, remember that real tires vary quite a bit even when they share the same numerical size. The cars I have seen running them had Hoosier RS303 tires, I think.

In addition, you will need PERFECTLY fitted wheels to fit 305s under there without flares. And you will probably need aftermarket trailing arms too.

Thanks for the inputs..

I am running aftermarket trailing arms and will be mounting Hoosiers on the car.

Just trying to get an idea of what setup to go with.

I will be using a one piece front end and was told it will allow me to run 305s. Knowing that I had hoped to keep it matched all around but with out flares.

Any ideas on how much back spacing that will require ?

Still trying to decide between 17s and 18s also.
