Widest rim??

What is the widest front wheel I could fit on a FD? I've seen one guy with what I think were 9.5". I'm planning a street/auto x setup so I want Volk 17"GT-N's in the widest possible size F and R with probably S03's mounted. And does anybody use the Bilstien PSS or PSS9 coilovers?? I did a search but got nothing. TIA

Wheel is only part of the equation. You need to have the proper offset, diameter (to some extent), coil diameter, and tires.

A 17x10 will work with 275-40s, but you'll get some rubbing on the fender wells and you'll be unable to lower the car very much. I run 18x10 up front with 285-30 tires. Offset is approx. 50mm and have 2.5" Eibach springs with GAB Super Rs/M2 coilover perches. No rubbing and the car is approx 1" lower than stock.

tahnks, that gives me some insight as to how big I can go without rubbing. I'll probably have to do some test fitments seeing as how I'll be runing a full coilover setup.
