where to buy 21mm coated wheel lug socket

I have some Gram Light 57 Pros on my car and need to buy one of those coated 21mm wheel lug sockets so I don't scratch up the paint around the wheel lug (already have in a few spots).

Where do I buy one of these? THis is for an FD. No local shops seem to carry them.

Thanks,

Mark

Try wrapping a standard socket with electrical tape.

I would rather have a dedicated one vs. having to rewrap the socket constantly. My rims have a very narrow edge that is easily scratched .

I heard Griotsgarage.com or Griots has them.

Thanks Jim.

Seems like I should shop more at Harbor Freight.... and get a bigger tool box at the same time as I've outgrown mine.

If you don't want to order from somewhere - do what I did:
Take a regular socket and put some heat shrink around it. You can pick it up for less than a dollar, it will stick in place, be thinner and more durable than tape. Worked perfectly.

Another po' man option is to use a freezer bag instead of heat shrink or electrical tape.

I think I do too, but I didn't want to be accused of exaggerating. I just spent another $120 myself, including the full set of lug nut sockets...

I was looking at those last night. They look great because they are coated outside AND inside. So not only will it not mar the wheel, it won't mar the lugnuts either

They are nice! I was up at Harbor Freight and picked them up. The only problem is that with my aftermarket wheels, the diameter makes it a very tight fit.

Tool junkies!! There must be a 12 step program that you can enroll in

Step 1: Learn to feel good about the tools you already have. You like them, they like you.

Step 2: ................

Try using a 3/8 inch drive 21mm non-impact socket. They are thinner, i think the standard equivalent is slightly smaller. You would probably have to use a 3/8 to 1/2 inch adapter also. Or do what i did, use honda lut nuts. I had a problem with the mazda onse because the lug nut is completely flat and my socket will sometimes bottom out and touch the rim when i use my air gun. The honda lugs are 19mm and they have a lip on them. So clearance is not an issue and the socket wont bottom out. But then again i had a buch of them at work, so i was free.
