wheels with 50mm offset?

Ive been looking for some wheels for my FD to clear larger brakes and put some more rubber on the ground. I think i should go with 17x10 or 9.5 all around but Im having trouble finding any wheels with a +50 offset. According to the fitment charts this is the offset I need to fit a 10" wide wheel, correct? Any pointers to some strong, light, decent looking wheels that will fit? thanks

Go custom, i.e., CCW, Fikse, Kinesis, et al.

The offset on the original wheels is 52mm. if you are looking to gain more caliper clearance horizontally you would want a lower offset not a higher offset. all of the wheels that I carry in a 17X9 or 17X9.5 range between 42 and 45 mm offset. I don't have anything in 17X10 to use as a comparison.

But with a 10" wheel wont the lower offset make it stick out past the fender? My main brake clearance concern is across the diameter.

Yeah I might end up with CCWs even though I dont like the look, since I can get something that will fit.

On a side note, Connor, i've been seeing more and more and more SSR advertisements in magazines lately. Have they begun producing wheels again? There are more SSR ads than ever! Please fill me in if you know.

Sorry for the thread jack~

Several of SSR's wheels are available in an 18x9.5 +50 offset -- the Competitions, the GT-2s, and the GT-7s. These will be $1600-1900/set.

Other than that, you are looking at custom wheels/offset orders, from either CCW, Fikse, Kinesis, Racing Hart (CP-035R!), Forgelines, etc.

First off, what tire size do you want to run? THis will determine the appropriate offset and wheel width you should run.

Which brakes do you have? Do you have the caliper clearance data for them?

I dont have brakes yet. I was thinking I should get a larger diameter wheel first.

I think 275s would fit well on a 10" wheel, put down plenty of rubber, and not offer too many clearance issues. I could go with a 9.5" wide wheel as well I suppose.
