Wheel set up for FC, tire options?
Wheel set up for FC, tire options?
My plan...
I'm going to get some 17" ADR Fuel rims, 7" Wide, and put 225/45/17 on the rear and 215/45/17 on the front...
Sound like it will work okay?
I'm deciding on tires... are the Dunlop SP Sport FM901s good? Anyon have experience with them?
I'm probably going with those (cheaper) or Potenza RE750s ($200 more for set of 4)

ya might as well just put 225's all around. you probably wont want staggered tire sizes unless your up the higher HP regions.
i'd recomend Kumho Ecsta MX or Falkin Azenis. both are cheap with very good grip. (and liveable in the rain)
if ya look at Tirerack.com's road testing, the MX sits right between yokohama AVS sport and BFGoodrich g force T/A KD, both of which cost a lot more.

well... I heard that 225s would rub up front...
Has anyone had 225s up front and didn't experience any rubbing?
Also, 225s on a 7" rim... will there be an overhang of tire? Does anyone have 225s on 7" rims in here? Thanks a bunch...

i have 225/50/15 all around on 15x6.5 inch wheels. they fit fine. get your wheels with a 30-35mm offset, and they'll fit oh so nicely. (you can go lower offset in the back, but then you couldnt rotate tires...)

you can fit 245's in the front with the right offset, and if you're lucky, 255. (takes some work)

I can fit 225/45/17 in the front. I'm going to mount 235/45/17 in the front this week. Should be a problem.
Just make sure you have coilovers and a right offset or else you won't be able to mount them in the front.
