wheel offset?

I'm looking at some volks TE37 TA the size that i'm looking at is 17x9 +65 offset. I use the wheel offset calculator and I get this, Inner Clearance: 50mm LESS. Outer Position: The same. Does that mean that the wheel will fit? I'm not clear on the 50mm less answer. I use 7inch and 40mm offset as current wheel spec.

You are going to need HUGE spacers for those to fit.

Not quite, that is a problem for wheels with too low of an offset.

You just need a right-sized spacer to compensate for the offset inherent in the wheels.

These are the sizes that i can pick from. 17x7.5 +48, 17x9+65, 17x9.5+35

The 7.5+48 i get 14mm LESS Inner Clearance, RETRACT by 2mm Outer Position

the 9.5 +35 I get 27mm LESS Inner Clearance, EXTEND an extra 37mm Outer Position

I'm looking for some te37 that are at least 8inc wide but the other one that they have is 17x8 +38 and a 17x8+44. I'm putting it the offset calculator but don't know what to look when using the offset calculator.

None of those will fit up front with stock suspension.

Best fitment is 17" x 8.0", +38 front and 17" x 9.5", +35 rear.

The fronts need like a 1/4" spacer to fit stock suspension.
The rears will fit fine.

Just to give you an idea...

17x8 +30 (+35-5mm spacer)
17x9 +30 (+35-5mm spacer)

so +65 is ridiculous.

17x8 +38 will not fit..

this is 17x9 +12 on the front of my fc...

look for 17x8.5 +25 for the front and 17x9.5 + 30 ... they are pretty conservative offsets that most fc owners can live with..

the widest you can go is 18x10 + 15 with standard guards and they would have to be lipped...

I've been looking around to see if mine would fit
On a 86 GXL, 17x7" +42mm offset, would those fit?
Thanks!

I would need an answer today cuz if it fits I would buy them today

I've seen somewhere it said the max offset for that size of a wheel is +40... but would 2mm make it really not fit?

Thanks
