What's your favourite wheels track set up?
Hi guys!
An intresting question of a boy from Italy
for everyone use the fd3s on track, what's your favourite set up and why ( rims and wheels )
I just want to know your feedback on the track use, not about "it will fit-will not"
(by the way i have +25 fender so i could fit a lot of stuff
)

The lightest and strongest you can afford. Your budget will dictate how well you can execute on that.
Look at CCW forged Monobloc series (corsair), forgeline wheels, and Jongbloed wheels will all build custom offsets/sizes for you, be plenty strong, and light. The only downside is cost.
If you're trying to use pre-made wheel sizes/offsets you'll need to determine what size/offset you want and then you can narrow down your choices.

I have a square setup of Wed TC-105N 18x10.5+12 with Hankook Z221 295/30/18 medium compound. I haven't driven them on the track yet but the Weds are one of the lightest rims around and the Z221s are a proven time attack & sprint tyre.

I would like jump in the Italian time attack but the the category i like allows 265 tyres.

I am wondering to use pre-made wheels, i have still some concern if run 10.5 all around or 9.5 on front and 10.5 on rear. Btw offset 22 front 15 on rear.

Nice wheels! how much they weight? How many bucks per rim?

I like the enkei NT03, volk te37 + CE28N, advan RS, RZ wheels. there are a bunch more...they all look good to me.

About $2500AUD or $1900USD for a set but I guess it depends on availability in your country. We don't get CCW or many of the other US rims here, mainly Japanese.

So far my favorite is still the 18x11 +45 Forgestar F14 with 295/30-18 Ventus TD Z221 up front and in the rear.
Set some local class records in 2013 that are still standing.
Very streetable set-up too, good road manners from correct offset.

Front stock fenders are rolled with slight pull.
Rear stock fenders have lip rolled under.

With your +25mm fenders you should be able to fit 18x12 +30 front and rear, but you won't be able to fit more than 295/30-18 up front anyways because the tires get too tall.
You can fit more tire than 295 up front, but it requires more mods (like cutting unibody up by the headlight area and possibly the front/rear of the fender arch).
