Whats ground control coilovers?

i was looking on froggle and found a few "ground control" coilovers for like 300 or 400 bucks. Im wondering what they are. Also what would you guys recomend for coilovers that arent too expencive however good. let me know. also is it worth it just to get springs if i want control for my car and lower it? Or should i just save up for coilovers, i want handling and to lower my car

Well, all comes down to how much you are willing to spend. Also what your going for when purchasing coilovers.

Ground Controls are basically just sleeves that go over either your stock shocks or some upgraded shocks that allow for height adjustment and tighter springs. They are ok but for not much more you can get a full set of actually coilovers.

Basically, you still need to purchase an aftermarket shock so you'll still be around $1000 when it's all said and done. The GC coilover, with the right shock, is a very good combo.
