Im looking around for some 17x8, and 17x10 rims. What would be some good choises. What color do you guys think would look good. white, black, polished, gold, gun metal, aluminum.
I really like the look of the volk GTA'S. If you guys have any pics will you please post it.

Even more than basic wheel design, color seems to be highly subjective. I put black SE37Ks on my Montego FD. I like them, and some other people like them, but they aren't universally appreciated. I even had some kid in a banged up white econo box tell me my "black wheels are ugly, sir". What a jerk! But I like them, and that is what really counts.

Here are some pics, sorry I don't have any of the whole car:

Black is nice because they show brake dust less. However, they show curb rash a lot if you happen to chip them. The black on the Volks seem pretty durable, but I do have a chip on one of the rims (not sure how I got it -- maybe from tire mounting). They get kind of a rainbow finish dominated by blue with some wheel cleaners.

I am sure gunmetal would have a similar brake dust hiding advantage. Gunmetal or silver would look cool, too. I think bronze might look cool, but I haven't seen anyone with that setup. White seems too high maintenance to me and I am not a huge fan of that look anyway.

Also, go wider than 8" since you are spending a bunch of money on wheels. I suggest 8.5" or 9" for fronts, and 9.5" or 10" for rears. 235/45-17, 245/40-17, or 255/40-17 seem to be good sizes for front tires and 255/40-17, 265/40-17, or 275/40-17 seem to be good tire sizes for the rear.

I'll have a set of bronze 18" Kinesis K59r on my Montego Blue FD Real Soon Now. Just got my JIC FLT-A2s on today. I'll post pictures as soon as the rims come in, if you guys promise to ignore the thrashed paint job on the car

YEah, bronze. hehe. I'd say Bronze CE28N's for a well priced forged and very light wheel. Oh yeahhhhhh.

Thrashed paint is cool! That is the look I am going for on my car. Well, at least until I can park my car where my neighbors don't scratch or dent the car.

I spoke to a Volk rep at SS5 and he said the CE28N was their lightest wheel.

Personally I'd go for some Racing Hart CP-035R's, but they come in 18s. But I also like the M6 3 piece and the C2s.

i think that last pic is actually the Borbet Type TDs... the Type Ts don't have that much of a lip on them.... speaking of borbets, TpCpLaYa, do you have any pics of an FD with Type TDs on the rear and Type Ts on the front? color of the car doesn't matter....

If I had the money, I'd go for a set of black diamond BBS RG-Rs:

They only weigh 16 lbs too!
