What size 57C's will fit on a 2nd Gen

i want to get a set of 17in gram lights 57c's for my 87 t2. i am wondering what offsets are best for the 8.5in fronts and the 9.5 inch rears? what size tires can i fit on them i was thinking 235/45/17 front and 255/40/17 rear? is this even possible?
has anyone put these wheels on this car?
thanks,
justin

You'll have to run the 17,7.5 and 9.5. However your front tire size will be limited to a 225/45/17 and rear a 255/40/17. That is totally possible and a set has just gone out to a gentleman on the board.

Contact us for your club pricing. Just PM me the color you'd like and the time frame you'd be ready. Certain colors need to be ordered in advance as they are stocked in limited quanitities at the importer.

Should be some pics very soon. Just sent out the wheels and Toyo T1S in those sizes today.

I got them this morning. They made a huge difference in the appearance of my car. I'll get some pics posted tomorrow when the sun comes back up. The rear offset looks really sharp, and slightly different than the front wheel shape.

Great buy and the service from Rishie was top notch!

Gram's for the FC

what offsets did you use for the front and rear?
what kind of springs/suspension do you have?
how much room do you have between front tire and spring?
by the way nice car.
thanks

17x9.5 +38 rear
17x7.5 +40 front
per Rishie's recomendation. Can't go wrong with whatever he recomends.

I have GC coilovers, and I can't get my finger between the tire and spring perch, it's really close.

offsets and springs

i was wondering how your coil overs compare to a set of lowering springs as far as wheel clearance. is your spring a constant diameter all the way up? my intrax spring is tapered as it goes down like a factory one.
thanks

Yes, the GC's are a straight 2.5" diameter. They are much skinnier near the top, which should provide for more tire clearance.

Rishie (ARD t2) should be able to tell you what will fit with your suspension.
