Probably anything except white, blue, or green colored wheels... Just make sure your wheels are at least 9 inches wide to take 255 mm tire widths all the way around. Don't do the tuner wheel sizes that are only 7.5-inches wide for 205-mm width tires, for God's sake! Oh, and don't do 18s, 19s, or 20s, unless you've huge brakes that require wheel diameters that large!

Fikse FM/10 are nice but way way way to pricey.. There like a 1k per rim(almost).. I like the kinesis k58s but they are 1k per wheel to..

If I had a red FD I would get black rims, or powdercoat the stock rims black. IMO black on red looks great.

Here are my 2 other sets of wheels besides my stock silver set, Buying new wheels is a real personal issue after you figure out what you can afford.

BLACK SE37K's all the way. Just like TAZ's FD. That vehicle has inspired me to bring back a bunch of black se37k's via gray market from Japan since they aren't being ordered for the US market.

I'm putting 16,7 SE37K's in black on my RED Supercharged miata. I can't wait.

Anyone interested? Will bring in FD sizes if desired. It will take 60-90 days for me to receive them.

im not in to colored rims exspecialy BLACK rims because black rims are what you see on sticker- charged hatchback civics... I know that alot of people like dark rims but its not my taste.. Silver with polished lip or just silver will be good for me.. What are those advan wheels you see on alot of Re car that are in the carshows??? How much do they cost??? You have to know with ones im talking about.. Theres a pic of them on the green re car at www.jt-imports.com ,,, it should be on the first page if not go to the pic gallery..

Well check this out:

https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...&postid=136155

I don't see how you can compare wheel color when you're actually comparing

Knockoffs to Volks. Regardless of color there's a lot of clout that JDM brings, not to mention it's functionality.

Thanks, Rishie

This FD is the sickest I've seen on stock FD body in Red.

That's just MEAAAANNNNNNNNN!!!!!! looking. If I was in a Honda and looked over I wouldn't look again. My face would turn as red as that FD. LOL!!!

I'm just trying to empasize that one should never jump to conclusions. Being a part of this community has allowed us to avoid that at all costs since people here have done everything.

If you need to see something, just search. I love the forum and my rotary brotherhood. We are quite close nit. Almost cult like. hehe.

Rishie, yeah, black SE37Ks...As good as my Comps look on my red FD, the black SE37Ks would probably knock off another second from of my laptimes just because the black SE37Ks look so freaking wicked FAST on a red FD!

Hi Rishie,

How much will the Black SE37Ks cost from Japan? I've been trying to get wheels from you for a month now but we never managed to get down to talking business...

Just out of curiousity, why does everyone diss White-coloured Rims?

Personally, I feel that White Rims looks best on Red or White Bodies....oh well, that's just my opinion.

Cheers

I'm a big fan of chrome wheels, and I started with the chrome stockers on my VR 93 touring model. A run in with a wasp and a curb led to the demise of two of those, so I replaced them with Chrome BBS RX wheels.

I know lots of people think chrome = rice, and in some instances I agree, but I like the look of a classy chrome wheel on my car. I don't worry too much about wheel weight, since I don't auto-x or race, other than the occasional highway run!

Personally if I had the $, I would buy myself some Mazdaspeed MS01 Mags (the Magnisium ones), those things look nice, plus they're superlightweight.

anybody have 17's on fd(perhaps red but any color is cool).. I thought about 18's but I think that 18 only look good with a aftermarket front bumper.. Just my opinions.. Unless anybody has pics on a car lowered with 18s and without fiberglass work???

Thanks! Yes, they are 8 X 16's. Only because I just bought new tires to put on the stock chrome wheels I had, so I couldn't justify new wheels AND tires. If I had to do it again, I'd go with 17X8 up fornt and 17X9 or 10 in the back!
