Max, I went to the link, but I do not understand what variables are being compared in the graphs. I am looking to get shocks for my car as well. I have a 94 R2 and I am looking at the Koni's. I drive this car everyday, so I would like something that has adjustable stiffnesses. Would the Koni's or Teins be a good choice? Do I really need to get coilovers if I am not racing? Where did you guys purchase the Teins from? I am suspension illiterate as you can tell.

Thank You,

Petros

Man, You guys are down on Tokico's. I just got a set not knowing any different.

Sounds like the Konis are great. Maybe I should just put my R-1 shocks back on.

cpa7man--Bilstein HDs. They're self-adjusting. Stiff enough for comp driving, soft enough for street driving

Hey Sleep, I made that comment 7 month's ago. Did you just wake up from your long winters nap?

So your saying the Bilsteins (non-adjustables) are the way to go. Lots of guys run the Koni yellows including DamonB.

I've since given my shocks to my son. He's running H&R Sport springs with the R1 shocks. The shock only have 30k miles on them. He does like the setup.

I'll look hard at the Bilsteins. I'll be doing my springs sometime next year and will do the shocks then. On the Tokicos I run them full hard (#5) for HPDE's and autocross and on #3 in front an #2 in the back for street.

I have a set of H&R springs but not yet installed. I've narrowed it down to Koni and Bilstein. I'm in no hurry. Once I get a ride in a car with either of these shocks it will make my decision.

gab super r is really good, unless you get double adjustable konis which do break the bank.
