I have the same wheel size and I have 225/40/18s. It seems to ride pretty nice and it doesn't rub lowered one inch. I have an fc but I don't think its going to matter.

on the 18x8.5, the best size to run would be 225/40-18. 235/40-18 is too tall as opposed to stock, and 235/35-18 is too small.
on the 18x9, you are best off with a 245/35-18.
mind i ask...why so narrow wheels?? you could run the 18x9s up front, and get some 18x10s for the back and run 285/30-18s back there with no problem whatsoever since you have coilovers.

I would run 225/40-18 on the 8.5 x 18s up front and 255/35-18 on the 9 x 18s in back. Overall tire diameters are nearly identical, and the fronts shouldn't rub at all... The staggered setup will give your FD an aggressive appearance.
I do agree that you could definitely fit 9 x 18s up front with either 245 or 255/35-18s with no problems (so long as you use a 45-mm offset); and 10 x 18s in back with 285/30-18s using 45 to 50-mm offsets.
Best of luck!

You could also do the 235/40 and 265/35/18.
that's what I would run on the 8.5 and 9.0. There won't be any rubbing problems from what I can see. you'll be slightly taller, but frankly everyone I see here runs a slight oversize anyways.
I know these will fit fine on those widths.
Thanks, Rishie
Manny is correct for O.E. sizing so it's that or this. A 265 on a 9.0" is beautiful. It'll line up well.
