weight of rp01 wheels

does anyone know the exact weight of a 18x 8.5 also 18 x 7.5 rp01 wheel? I was looking online to buy some other18x8.5 chrome wheels but ithey weighed 31 lbs.also i changed the stock wheels and tires on my last fd to 17x8.5 and 17x7.5 to rp01 and nitto 555s and the ride and cornering was much better. Does the ride and cornering get any better with 18s on it or is it just for show? my car will only see street duty.

My 18x8.5 Enkei RP-01 were approximately 19 lbs, my 18x9.5 were approximately 20 lbs.

Let me guess. You pulled those weights out of your *** now, didn't you?

What kind of a scale did you use? Not to say you're incorrect, but the "published" weight I found in an online wheel database for an 18x8.5 was 20.7 lbs.

Why a 7.5" wide wheel??? You know that's narrower than stock, don't you?

Well, note my use of the word "approximately".

I weighed my wheels using a decent quality bathroom scale, but using the subtraction method -- me holding wheel and noting weight, and then putting the wheel down and noting the weight.

The BIG approximation comes with the fact that the wheels already had Toyo T1-S tires mounted on them. Since the tires were virtually brand new, I simply subtracted off the weights that Toyo publishes for those tire sizes.

A few variables there, but I'm fairly confident that my "approximate" weights are within 1 LB of the actual weights.

I remember reading the Enkei site when they still sold those wheels, and I believe they published 21 lbs. for the 18x9.5.

They look the same but don't have the right sizes.
