The trouble is that I haven't founf a place where Volks aren't expensive. For a tad more you can get fikse FM5's, which I think look much better.

Maybe I just don't know where to look. Is so, please advise.

That will apply in the 17" size for the FD's application, an 18 would be a whole different ballpark. The 18's in a Fikse will cost a lot more than the Volks.

The forum gets a great deal on the Volks through me, so you can always inquire. For a few hundred more dollars you can get a three piece that might be a little heavier, but is rebuildable in the United States.

If looking at a 17" size I would definitely go with the Fikse. Otherwise its all comes down to the pocketbook on the 18's.

See ya, Rishie

Avergage Forum deal on a set of Volk 17's FD fit, $1800-$2000. The Fikse's will run a couple hundred more, but is rebuildable.

Later, rishie

GT-N's are great for the price and can actually look really nice when complimented.

I have tons of those brochures that were scanned, and I agree that the FD's they've displayed have the wrong wheels. I too do not like the multiple boltpattern look, but VOLKS are VOLKS. So to each their own as long as its good ****.

I have never really been a fan of the CP035's but I have to admit they look bad on that FD.

I was in the same boat. I decided if I were going to pay a good amount of money on wheels I may as well get the Advan RG's which I liked much better than anything Volk offers. I ordered the RG's from Japan, but cancelled my order a week later when I bought a used set of 17x9 and 17x10 Volk TE-37's for $1100 shipped w/ decent tires. If you wait around long enough, there are all sorts of good deals popping up for used stuff - including wheels. Buying used has its drawbacks as well. I was missing 4 center caps ($80) and lugnuts all around ($50).

I was getting them in 18's for about $600 - $700 a wheel w/out tire.

I am considering 17" Volk SE37A or SE37K. Does anyone have pictures of theses wheels on a FD?
So, far I have only seen the SE37A on a Supra in the SCC mag. under Mackin Industries.
Thanks
Oliver

Do you guys have distributors in Denmark? What does a set go for out there? We ship internationally via BAX. It cost $175.00 to London for a set of 18's that weighed about 100lbs. w/ all four wheels and boxes. The Volks will be lighter.

I could probably get you a good deal, even with the shipping. I'd be interested in finding out about the market out there. I plan on hitting up Japan and Germany sometime first quarter '02 for market research.

TIA,

Rishie

Johnny, thanks for reminding me about Max's site. His Forum photo show's his other wheels so, I forgot. I will ask him if he has a full shot of his car. Thanks again.

ARDT2, We have many here. I have only talked with 2 because, they are closest to where I live. The distributers here basically sell BBS,OZ,Ronal and AEZ. For example, I got a price of $2.500 for 18" BBS RC wheels with cheap tires. This was from a friend so, others would pay more. I think BBS is cheaper here than the states?. We only have 5 FD's in Denmark and one friend has the BBS RC wheels. I would like to be different and have decided to go with 17" (18" look great but I don't want the weight and attention). The problem is I like the CCW, Volk, Advan RG but nobody has them. When shipping to Denmark I have to pay a 25% tax. On many parts I have had sent over, I am able to get it with out the tax. Large wheels would be alittle hard to slip by customs! If you can find a picture of the Volk SE37A on a FD I would be grateful. Just looking right now. Like I said I will check in with max about SE37K. If you want, let me know and I will be happy to give you names and info of distributers here. Thanks for the reply's.

Oliver
