Volk Gt-C face 2 sizing?

Will these work on a stock FD:
Front: size18 x 9, offset +42
Rare: size 18 x 10, offset +44

No problem if I needed to roll the fenders. Also, I don't plan on upgrading the brakes anytime soon. Thanks for the help.

With rolled fenders, the 18x9 +42 should be ok, but it is an aggressive fitment. The 18x10 +44 in the Face 2 requires a C-disk, I don't know whether or not that will clear the rear brakes or not. I'm guessing that it probably will. A safer choice would be the 18x10 Face 1 in a B-disk, +50 offset (or +43 for a more aggressive fitment). You shouldn't have to roll the rear fenders. With the +50 offset, you MAY have to run aftermarket trailing arms, but you SHOULD be ok.

Proper tire sizes would be 255/35 front, 285/30 rear.

How can you tell if it is A,B or C-disk?? I see the A, B and C on rayswheels.com but don't see what determines this. Is there a measurement I can take to determine if if A, B or C? Thanks for the help.

A, B, or C is the pad-height clearance. It has to do with the relative position and curve of the spokes and where they connect to the rim. An "A" disk is the highest pad height -- the spokes will likely have the most curve and will likely connect farther out on the rim (less lip). This is the disk needed for bigger brake calipers.

AFAIK, the 18" B-disk sizes will clear the stock 93-98 FRONT brakes. You will need to run the A-disk to clear the 99+ or aftermarket FRONT brakes. I do not know if the C-disk will clear the rear caliper, but my guess is that it will.

Instead of asking on the forum, you need to talk to a GOOD Volk dealer about these issues, since they are responsible for giving you a good fitment. Give Rishie at Auto RnD a call, if you are serious about these wheels. Just know that it will likely be a 3+ month wait, minimum.

yea...I purchased volk SF winnings and there listing on the fitment was a little bit clearer than those listed for the GT-C 2.

What scares me is the thing that they say about the Disk C option
The OFFSET C in the size table has little brake caliper and hub ring clearances, please be very careful fitting them on.
If you have your heart set on these wheels make sure you get someone knowledgable about the fitment of these wheels on a RX-7. Also, if you have plans to upgrade your brakes in the near future, you might want to also take that into account when ordering your wheels.

The low type will clear the FD rear brakes. The 'C' disk in the offset you mentioned +44. If you want to run max width 285/30/18 tire you will need to roll the rear fender. But other than that this setup will work.

Please let me know if we can assist you with this purchase. Let me know what color you're interested in and I'll check stock for ya.

Keep in mind that with the Face 2 you will lose lip and gain spoke concavity. So if you want more lip you should stick with Face 1. Same goes for the front if you use the Face 2. If you are using stock brakes up front you might even be able to get away with the 9" +44 'C' disk up front. If you'll notice the FD caliper barely goes over the stock rotor hat.

Laters, Rishie
