I had purchased these Volk Racing Time Attack Ce28n's and waited 4 months until I received late summer of 2006. If you didn't already know, the Time Attacks are special edition for 2006 only and come with a flat black finish and red outline.

Specs:

18x9.5 +34 offset Rear 275's Definitely rubs rear fenders.
18x8.5 +40 offset Front I forgot. I would have to look again. Definitely rubs front fenders.

These wheels are now sold. I am getting CE28n's again, but probably diamond black this time.

Prior to my purchase, my main concern is if the wheels would bow inward like the Diamond Black CE28n's Rxy Rage has. I even bugged Rx7 Rage to tell me how he got this look :P.

Here are Rx7 Rage's Specs:

17x8 +38
17x9.5 +42

If you think about it. The time attack offsets are lower in the rear, but just a tad bit higher in the front, BUT the fronts are 8.5.

When I got my wheels, my response was, "Awww man....****. It's flat." The rears are OK, but not exactly what I wanted. The fronts are a no no.

So now my wheels are sold .

If you think about it, the offset doesn't measure the inward bow. I think it's more of high pad low pad thing. BUTTTTTT, when you order the wheels, you CAN'T choose! From the pictures I've noticed, the diamond black ones have the most inward bow. The silver and the mercury silver ones don't really bow inward as much.

I am leaning toward 17's this time because I need a smoother ride. 18's might be a lil too big for the look I want. I mean .... 350z's put 18 in wheels and it looks JUST right and the car is much fatter than an RX7.

Here are pics of 18 in Diamond Black CE28n's on a 350z. THIS IS WHAT CE28N's SHOULD LOOK LIKE!!!!! PERIOD!

If you get FEED wide fenders, you can definitely rock these offsets. I am going with FEED wide fenders in the front. Keeping the rear stock.

Nice wheels, but they're a bit dark looking on a RED car

it's a subtle GT look. Not too flashy.

If I had the money, I would have gone with some black CE28Ns, I think they'd look sick on a silver car w/ the black accent pieces I've got.

whats the offset difference between the red nsx and yellow nsx....
why do the red nsx wheels concave so much more....

i've been looking at wheels and think i'm swing towards the ce28 ...i like that black diamond color....
also what offset would you go with for 18x9.5...on a stock fender fd...was going to fender roll unless i have to...

Wow, talk about thread revival LOL I love my CE28s with the concave look. I've had the wheels since 2003 and do not intend to switch. Here's a rear shot showing the concaveness.

Finally 1 secret I found about concavness guys..rim size matters ofcorse but Center cap also makes huge difference.

I Have tested taking bunch of pictures with them or without center cap, Spokes look little longer for some reason and add little more concavness and agressive , Red Fd - Rx7 Rage has very nice size and looks but when he takes off silver cromed volk racing center cap and put nothing on it.... it will make it even so much better just like 350z and the Red NSX.. it will be more agressive and deep, Kens time attacks had dif size but also has center cap
Yellow NSX is perfect example , size ,silver rims and cromed center cap.
