Used the jimlab xls, critique my FD sizes

By using Jimlab's calculation spreedsheet, I've determined that I should be able to squeeze the following on an FD:

18x10, offset 37
255/35/18 Tire

Both Front and Rear

Inside clearances were no problem, the only grey area was on the front-outside clearance. With a 275 the outside clearance was -0.55. I figure with a 255 slight stretch, and then a fender roll, that could squeeze in.

Another option was an 18x9, offset 37 for the front. With a 255 that would have a -0.05 outside clearance, so maybe a fender roll in the front would suffice?

Just looking for someone to critique my findings.

Thanks,

Daniel

Update: Did some more homework by searching for practical applications of this offset and wheel size here on the forum.

I went with 18x10 +37 for the rears and 18x9 +37 for the fronts. 265/35/18 out back and a 245/35/18 up front. Will definitely require fender rolling when I lower.

Bought these today. SSR SP1 Black with Anodized lip. Got an absolutr steal at $1833 out the door with tires, tax, shipping and all hardware from TireRack. They are being discontinued and there are maybe 2 of these rears left and I think 1 front rim left in stock.

Now to buy the FD

I jus got my new rims yesterday, in the rear i did a 19x10.5 +36 and i didnt have to roll fenders. Im not tucking in the rear or anything but if i went any lower id have to roll em. Either way i think you should be alright man

Cool! That might be good news

Just curious, what were the specs on your front wheels?

your results don't sound right. on a 9" wheel i would think that you should be around 45 on backspacing to fit the front.

That's right for a worry free fitment. I used to run a 255 on a 9"+45 without rolling. I now have a 255 on a 9" +42 with the fenders rolled.

His 245's on 9"+37 will fit as long as you accept they are going to rub from time to time. How much is highly dependent on the car.

In the front i went the safe route for clearance and turning with a 18x8.5 +47
