Ultra light wheels

Looking for ultra light 16 inch wheels

I found some made by Nippon racing but I cannot find them anywhere on the web, I only found them at the local HP racing shop who wanted to overcharge the crap outta me.

The ones I found were 10 lbs.... and that's what i'm shooting for... ULTRA light. willing to spend 800-1000 on wheels alone.

Anyone have an opinion on Nippon wheels? I have OZ moda II's on my car now... they are too heavy for my s4 n/a but they would look killer on a 3rd gen. They are for sale... 1000 for the set Potenza's up front with ~20k miles and Nan-kangs in the rear with ~15k. 8inch wide in the front and 10 in the rear. They do have dings. These wheels are old, but straight. OZ no longer sells them.

Thanks... -mike

How wide are you looking to go? I would look into SSR Competitions. I doubt you will find a lighter wheel in that price range....the Comps even look good!

I think I found something I like.... Rota Slipstreams.... it looks like they weigh 13.5 lbs in a 16 inch rim.

I've got 15" Slipstreams for my daily driver. I like the way they look and they are light and relatively inexpensive. Rota makes a bunch of wheels that are good in their own right, even though they are knock-offs. I like 'em because you can get them in black, too.

I got my Slipstreams from forum member ARD T2 (Rishie) for a good deal. Plus, I knew I could trust him since I bought wheels from him before. Get a price from Rishie before you make a purchase.

Fill your tires with helium. You will reduce unsprung weight!

You might be able to get a set made by Kodiak Racing in that weight. www.kodiakracingwheels.com But I would think any wheel that light would be very easily damaged if you drove them on the street.
Good luck

Well the rota slipstreams are 13.5 lbs 16x7 which I would put some plus sizes on and i think that would be ok without being too damaged.
