toyo ts1 vs kumo 712's
ok I'm was going to buy some 712's this spring since they are good for a cheap price. but now I've got an the ablility to pick up a set of t1s for a really good price, but still more then the 712's.
are the ts1's really that much better? for dry and wet? which tire will last longer under same (hard!) conditions?
thanks.

I bought Kuhmo 712's in 245/45/16 and hate the damned things. By far the worst tire I have ever had; no grip. I have heard people say good things about them. They must not actually drive the car.

I'm actually pushing the T1 line instead of the Kumho line as well. All really comes down to budget.
A lot of the 40 series in the 17's are not badly priced at all, once you get to 35's it gets up there.
Sounds to me like a better tire from a pure production standpoint. It's got a UTQG 280, It's got AAA rating for temperature etc. and it looks to have a treadpattern that should not be too noisy and will dissipate water well.
What tire size are you getting and how much is it costing you?

I still see people here talking Yoko AVS Intermediates. After five sets on my TII I know what they can do. I replaced them with the Toyo T1 and could not believe the improvement, especially in the cold and wet. The T1S on the car now are even better. I know Manny really likes Bridgestone S-O3, but the people I have talked to like the T1-S better. I have not heard anything good regarding Kumho, get the T1-S and smile everyday.
