I got the Kumho MX from Tire Rack and got them installed on Saturday. So far they feel great.
I was concerned about getting to Toyos for the reasons people stated - that soft mushy feeling. Thinking back to when I first installed my T1S on my BMW, I do remember being rather unsatisfied at first b/c of the softness and that floating sensation. I remember that it took me a while to gain confidence in the tire but once I did I enjoyed them on the street. While they were soft and turn in was a bit slow, they did feel good at the limit and just cruising around on the street. They absolutely kicked *** in the rain.
The MXs definitely don't feel mushy and floaty. They are quieter than expected which is nice and feel pretty direct. I was driving around in damp conditions yesterday and they felt very controllable and communicative. They are pretty quiet as well. At one point I spun them making a right hand turn on damp roads and just kept my foot in it for a while. No wheel hop or noise.
I'll post back after some time in the dry. Thanks for recommendations fellas!
