Tokico Illumina Shocks/Struts

I have a 94 RX7 and I need to replace the Shocks/Struts. Has anyone had any experience with Tokico Illumina or KYB GR-2 and are they any good.

Thanks

I use the Tokicos. They are a good shock for mild spring rates. I don't think I would try using anything over 450 lb/in with them so it would depend on what springs you are matching up with them. If you want to use some higher rate springs, I would recommend going with Koni's.

I actually auto-x on the Tokico Illumina struts w Tein S-tech springs and they work pretty well.
The adjustment is pretty noticeable between the different settings.

Do I have to change my springs or can I use the stock springs. I have 61,000 miles on my car.

Thanks

You can use the stock springs. However, just keep in mind that Tokicos do not have adjustable perches. So, your ride height will stay the same when using the stock springs.

I'm in the same boat - 94 looking to replace stock shocks & springs but only for spirited street (Mountain) driving. I was looking at the Tokico Illumina's (since I have years of good experience with these on my GSL-SE, but the D-Spec series caught my eye.
Anyone with experience with these?
What about the new line of Tokico springs - anyone know anything about them?
