toe link bushing info

toe link bushing info
Hi im doing a full rear end rebuild on my FD3S,, my toe links look a bit of a mess.
Brand new from mazda $350 each!!
new bushes are $200 for all 4,,, not bad,
but poly bushes are $100 for all 4.
I don't want to make the car hard, but would just replacing the toe link bushes with poly make it any harder,, the standard toe links already look like they have a solid joint on one end and a rubber insulated joint on the other, (so surely poly bushes on both ends will change the cars feel very little).
I have no other poly bushes on car and don't want to go down that road,, any one experienced just poly bushed toe links? share me your views.
As of now im thinking of removing old bushes blasting and powder coating toe links then poly bushing them.

I have a fc, but i took a quick look at m azdatrix. One side seems to be a spherical bearing stock. The other side is a rubber bushing. I am not a big fan of polyurethane, the tend to oval out where the bolt or sleeve goes.
If you wanted to refresh everything, i would go stock or full spherical bearings on both ends. I don't know about the fd, but not all cars suffer from noise and comfort issues from going full solid bearings. I guess it depends where you make parts solid for your car.

I had a set of aftermarket toe links a few years back but they creaked and groaned from new,, nothing was loose they just made funny noises.
Think I might stump up ash for standard mazda links,, just a lot of cash.

Poly bushes are are a decent option for the toe links. The traditional replacement for the rear toe links on a performance oriented car has been aftermarket, rod-end toe links like this:
Rotary Performance | FD Suspension
They do wear quicker than stock but don't require regular regreasing like poly.
