Which tires?... page to pick from.

okay guys, im gettin a wheel set with tires.

here's the page (there are 2 pages)

https://wheelsnext.com/default.cfm?a...RCHSTRING=tire

what's everyones experience?

im looking at tread life first
grip second.. seeing as money is no option with the tire selection
(package deal, pick any tire you want)

tread life and grip are at two different ends of the spectrum.. what are your plans with these tires that is what we need to know first

i guess im looking for a good balance.

and there are truck tires in there i think because they offer truck/suv wheel packages as well.

Talking

I am very pleased with my Khumo Ecsta 711's. I've had them for a year now and they have a ton of tread left on them. They grip good enough for me too. I've heard some people complain that they're a bit twitchy in the rain but I haven't experienced that.

They ride nice too.

I didn't look at the link you posted by the way, I'm just posting my opinion on my tires. (Which were $89 a piece.)

Cheers,
Cody

I'd go with the Kumho SPTs, I don't care for the 711s at all, I work at Discount Tire and I see alot of weird wear and seperation problems with the 711s. Kumho is a decent company, if not the SPTs try to find the ASXs somewhere, not directional so you can rotate them however you'd like and I think their treadlife is around 300 or 400 which is damn good

I've been busting on a set of WYNSTAR (PEP BOYS) tires that came on my Vert when I got it over two years ago and can't wear them out. Grip in wet or dry is fine and ride is fine. When they die (I swear I'm trying) I'll try... whatever!

On my Turbo I've been running Toyo Proxes T1r and love them. Maybe not the best tread life as some things but I'd rather have grip for the stuff I do. Next set I might try Falken Azenis Rt615 just to see how they are.

The RT615s Kickass! but horrible on life, but they grip like no other!

Works for me! I only put maybe 4k a year if that on the Turbo between road trips and track stuff.

My nitto 455's are pretty awesome...the rears didn't last very long, but I think maybe my avatar had something to do with that. The fronts are about 7 years old now. lol

I just ordered a set of the Azenis RT-615's. Heard nothing but good things about them. However tread life isn't the best.
