tires causing alignment problem?

Was at the alignment shop today and the guy said that some tires just make your car pull a certain way, doesn't matter if it's new or wore. anybody ever hear of this? seems really odd that manufacturers would produce tires that make your car pull a certain direction.

Its called a radial pull. Usually its caused by a defective tire. You can tell by rotating the tires side to side and see if the car "pulls" the other direction.
