Tire and rim question (FM-10)

Purchasing some Fikse FM-10's and I am going with 17X10 Rear
17X8 Front

The car has been lowered with eibachs and I am slightly concered with rubbing. I was going with 275/40/17 back and 245/40/17 in the front. My questions are:

1) Fikse recommends 225/50's in the front but I have run 245's and have had no rubbing on the stock rims. Is it ok to keep the 245's ?

2) Will 8.5 in the front rub ?

3) What is the largest I can go up front without rubbing ?

4) Does anyone know what offset I should be running with these tires?

Thanks...

9 x 17 up front. Offset will be 45 to 50-mm. You can run 255/40-17 with no problems. Actually you can push the width all the way to 9.5 x 17 with 50-mm offset using 255/40-17 tire size up front. Don't mess around with 8 wides with 225/45-17. That's too close to stock for the money you're spending!

Yeah, if you are buying the rims new, I would get either:

Neutral setup: 17x9, +50 offset for all four wheels, running 255/40 17

Staggered setup: 17x9, +45 to +50 255/40 front, 17x10 +50 275/40 rear

"Volk" setup: 17x8.5/17x9.5 +40 to +50 running 235/45 or 245/40 front and 265/40 rear

Of course, you could always go nuts and install 4 18x10s +50 offset running 285/30s (with coil-overs)....

Lucky guy, please post pics when you get them mounted...

Don't you have to roll the fenders to run anything larger than an 8.0? ? I think my buddy has 8.5's and it screwed up the fenders...

You shouldn't need to roll the fenders. It's a good insurance policy to do so, but not necessary. Dial in some negative camber and don't lower the car so dern much. I have seen 18x10's fitted without fender rubbing issues .... just a lot of negative camber and good suspension setup.

The standard Fikse fitment is 17x10 +44 rear, and 17x8.5 +37 front.

I have FM10s on my car. 17x9 with 255/40/17's on all four corners (I went with a non-stagered setup so that balance would still remain neutral, plus I have the option to rotate tires). I absolutely love the setup and would recommend it to my best friend in a heart-beat.

I do not have rolled fenders, plus the car is dropped about 3/4". I also run open track events quite frequently. I have no problems with rubbing.

As a bonus, the car looks freaking sweet with these things!

45mm offset on mine

Pretty sure that they will clear the RZ calipers, but I'm not totally positive of that. Anyone have any personal experience with this?
