tire rack tire options wrong?

im looking into getting new wheels. im trying to search for a 17x9.5 wheel. from the searching ive done it appears i should look for a +45 to +50 offset. but when i search 93 rx7 on tire rack it gives me wheels with a +38 or other offsets i have seen i should stay away from. it also gives a back spacing number which i am not very familiar with.

i tried searching eay for the wheel size but everything i see is for a corvette in that size. and i know the lug pattern is different.

any suggestions on where i can search for a specific wheel size?

Tirerack doesnt give wrong wheel offsets. They give what the average consumer would buy for the car/what the wheels come in/popular offsets etc.

Stock offset is +50. Usually when people upgrade, they get something more aggressive, this is what tire rack does.

With that in mind, i have bought a set of wheels from tirerack last year, 17x8.5 with a +40 offset for the front and 17x9.5 with a +38 offset for the rear and that was PERFECT.

I even did a 265 wide tire on that +38 wheel and fitment was perfect. It gives the car an aggressive stance.

My car is lowered and it still cleared.

Right now i have a 17x9.5 + 38 with a 275/40 rear and it fits perfect. I actually wanna lower the car another 1/2-3/4 inch to make the stance even more aggressive.

ive read the wheel fitment guide. but unless im mistaken, it does not show if it matters if the car is lowered or not. i have koni yellow shocks and eibach lowering springs. i just wanna make sure that when i shop for wheels/tires i dont buy the wrong ones.

traction. looking to get a new set of tires and rims. (wider) im looking for at least a 17x9.5" (maybe a 10" if i can fit it). the car is lowered. im trying to find a set of rims that will for and im not going to spend 4k on. i was looking at the enkei rpf1's and rp03's. they are both decently light weight and reasonably priced. (less then 300 a rim) but neither wheel really jumps out at me. trying to see what other wheels will fit in that criteria. also buying online is alot cheaper then inperson. so i wanna be sure i am buying the right size.

ive read alot of your posts about size and offset. and from what i gather you recommend, you suggest 45+ to 50+ to get a perfect fitment.

again the car is lowered so i wanna be sure i can find wheels to fit. i know i cant fit a 9.5 or 10" up front so prob like a 8" or so.

That's interesting, because for the FC they reccomend wheels with too much offset, sticking really close to stock, which really doesn't work with wider than stock wheels.

I have Enkei NT03+Ms at 17x9.5 +44 all around with little issue, the front will need a roll when lowered but that's about it.

No, they assume car height is stock, all the time.

You have to adjust accordingly.

Just for reference using my previous post, my car height is 25.5 ground to fender and i get no rubbing.
