TII brakes vs NA
Im very close to saving up enough money to install a new brake system. however, i have the shitty brake package, w/ no rear vented disk. i was wondering how big the performance difference was between the TII's brakes and NA brakes (i know not all NA brakes).
Currently my brake plan was simply to get the Rotora slotted rotors, good pads, and keep the stock calipers. I took a look at Mazdatrix's site and to get some TII calipers all around would cost over a grand. im not sure if you can just put the calipers in w/ out changing other brake components. is it just a straight caliper swap?
i just wanted to know if there was a big performance gain w/ TII brakes and if its worth the money. also, i dont want a big brake kit.
i just want to know if the swap would be worth it, and if the performance gains were good enough. ... or if the slotted rotors would be good enough.

the T2 brakes are so expensive because they are getting 'rare' an people put them on other cars . Im not sure you can just throw on T2 calipers, maybe if you have 5 lug hubs, no if you have 4 lug...
But really, if you going to spend that much money on brakes, you might be able to get WAY better wilwood calipers for the same amount or less. might have to get a custom caliper bracket made if you cant find one. You can measure it out yourself and have a machine shop make it.
If you go this route, this is what you will need.
Calipers - look at the new version super light 4 (SL4)
Rotors with Hats
lines - stainless steel is important for racing
also... a thousand racers stand behind me when i say this...
sloted/x-drilled rotors are just for show.
just get good quality rotors like brembo.
