Thumbs up testing new wheels FD 18x10.5 +5 PICS

soo my friend just let me test fit his front wheels on my rear...

and god damn i love it.....

18x10.5 +5 i think i could pull it off with some coil overs, camber, Awesome fender pull/roll, and some luck....

Sorry dude....that looks FAIL without a widebody kit.

Don't ruin a nice FD with those wide *** wheels, please.

Yeah, for the style you are going for, the 18 x 10.5 + 5s look good. Just do a mild pull on the fenders and lay it out.

Fronts need like something more conservative depending on width.

of course it looks Fail right now, because im on lowering springs and struts.. and the fenders are not rolled/pulled... thats why it says testing..

trust me... i wont ruin my fd... unlike most fd owners with ugly *** kits and sunkin wheels... and widebody would ruin the look i want..

thanks, you know what im aiming for... yea for the fronts, i was thinking about 18x10 +12? or something like that...

but yes, it would require fender pull/ roll, some negative camber..

i might plan on making a custom little flare for it. once i get coilovers.

Some 18 x 9 + 20 or 18 x 10 + 30~ would sit nice in the front.

I would almost go with an 18 x 10 or an 18 x 11 + 10~ offset rear with a lower offset just to make tire size selection easier. I tend to not like .5 sizes for aggressive fitment.

Roll, pull, stretched tire, and alignment needed to make it fit.

Id like to have a constructive conversation about what you like about such an "aggressive" look, without it turning into a **** storm. I will say that personally.. I think that looks terrible. I understand what it will look like lowered and with a pull, but.. maybe its just me.. but I just dont get it. I understand that sometimes we need to make a compromise between aesthetics and performance, but I think this hurts on both points. I like aggressive wheel fitments.. but to a point. Attached is what I believe is about a perfect setup on an FD. It fills the fenders nicely, allows for wide tires, looks as well as performs. I understand everyone has different tastes, and at the end of the day its your car and you can go whatever you like to it.. I just think it looks goofy

Niice pics of gorify's fd..

well said, and I clearly understand ya.. i know exactly what you are saying.. for me this is more of a asthetics look... i acutally plan on getting another set of wheels that have a bit more clearance for track/performance use.. but for the most part this car will be daily driven, so i just want my car to look aggressive as possible with out doing anything like wide body/gt wings etc,..

yes, wheel fitment like this does hurt its performance but like I said, its for asthetic purposes..

thanks for you thoughts on this.. i appriciate the thoughtfulness of your reply.

Got to agree with rxmfn7. That's probably the nicest thing I can say about it so I'll leave it at that

hmm, i dont know the look your going for but granted what u stated(fenders, coilovers..etc) i think that setup would tuck in nicely no sure about the offset in the front maybe a +22 through +36 would do the trick. but if you can fit yourself to some negative offset jeans anything is possible =). good luck meng!
