tenzo r type m

what do you think of the Tenzo R type M in black on my 93 VR R1?

they only come in 18x8 though, and i would want wider in the rear... maybe the 19x10 would fit? any thoughts?

I really like those wheels a lot but from what I have seen they use very low offsets for their pictures. For an FD there would be very little dish to the wheel.

I'm also interested in these wheels. What would be a good offset for them? 25, 37, 45 offsets.

what are you guys talking about

this wheel has no dish. the spokes bend concave directly to the face of the wheel.

the design of the wheels honestly looks pretty rad. i like mesh and i like concave. this blends the two together pretty well.

my concern would be with the quality of the wheel and the weight. tenzo is kind of a pepboys brand wheel. i have no idea if the wheel itself is quality. look into that before you buy.

the weight is pretty low, at 22 pounds, i believe. as far as quality, i don't know. they don't make any 18's wider than 8" though, so i'll probably look for something else. i'm not looking to spend $3000 on wheels, but whatever i do spend, i would not want failing on me.

I'm also on a budget as well. Been looking at these wheels. For the 18x8 the offsets come in 25, 37, 45. Any recommendations?

usually the concave face is only offered on the low offset versions, thats probably what people are talking about "dish". Like on work cr kai's, volk te37, fno1rc, ect, only the low offset ones have the nice concave face, the ones that most people pick for FD's is ugly flat face due to the high offsets.

thinking about running 18x 8.5 and 19x 10 on these same rims. My freind is running the same setup on volk ce28n's and looks nice and clean.

you might want to check with someone who deals alot with wheels like Rishie from autoRND. the concave face is not always true with low offsets depending on the company. the offset might be lower but if its a "high profile" wheel, then it'll be deeper only where the lugs go, not the whole face of the wheel. check and make sure before you order. good luck
