Tein EDFC
i'd have to wonder how often you'd need to do it on the fly then... one setting for street, one setting for track... how often do you stumble on a racetrack that you need to tackle right away without getting out of the car while out for a cruise?
True,
But lets say I am driving on some curvey roads pushing the limits on the suspension and I finally come to a stop light and have to race someone. I would just hit the button for my drag dampning force. That would be KICK AS*.
Ya think?

I've got mine sitting in the passenger seat of my car. I finished wiring it. Just have to make a custom panel to hold it in place. I think it'll be a nice thing to have once it's all done. Never know if you'll need it. Of course you will have the people who will say it's a waste of money. Those people are usually the same that think a turbo timer is a waste of money. You don't NEED a turbo timer. It's just something nice to have to save time. This is sort of the same. The nice thing about the EDFC is it has pre-sets for different kinds of driving like city, country and one other. I should have the suspension installed tonight on my car, but the engine isn't in yet so it'll be a little while before I can post about how I liked it. Im sure others on the fourm have this combo though. Woah I wrote a lot.

i believe that the Tein Flex coil-overs are Tein HAs w elec remote adj. at minimum i know they are the same spring rate (566 fr & 422 r) which IMO is at the edge of the upper reaches (but acceptable) before you get too much rate. i believe Rynberg mentioned that they aren't offering HAs anymore. i would be very cautious of other Tein coil-overs such as the RA as they are in the 700 pound ('am guessing) area which is just too much spring for the street or the track. Too stiff is slow as well as no fun.

Howard,
Thank you for your input. I bougth the Flex coilovers and the EDFC, now I need to find an aftermarket RSTB to fit with the EDFC? Any thoughts? Also I ordered Tri-Point engineering's front and rear sway bars. MArk was very helpful. 17 or 18" Volks? I am thinking 17's
Thanks
Ron

17s or 18s is kind of a toss up. i run 18s and am very happy w them but i do have rolled front and rear fenders. i think 18s are fine on the street but there may be more options tire wise w 17s. i like tripoint's products... they are the real thing. i wouldn't put much bar in the rear however. the rear needs to be as soft as possible in order to promote rear stick which is the ultimate challenge for any front engine rear drive car. .. that's why you need to run 3 pounds less air in the rear and soft shock settings.
good luck, sounds like you are doing it right. you will like the spring rate w the Flex setup.

it's just for the lazy people.
what in cockpit adjustable suspensions are needed for, is only and only if you do endurance race that is more than 3-4 hours, needing to dial in over or under.
if you ask me, it's a waste of money at $300

not really. the EDFC is just a gimmik really. i love my teins but i don't plan on getting an EDFC. it's really pointless. you can't adjust the rate while driving(well you can, but you run the risk of breaking stuff and totally voiding your warranty)so there really is no reason to get them.
is it worth $300 to you to not get out of the car? cause that's all they do. nothing extra fancy or anything, you just won't have to pop your hood.

Do you need an rx-7? Do you need to replace the stock shock/spring combo? Do we really need 80% of what we own?
I plan on getting the flex system w/efdc because on the FC, you have to remove the rear speakers to adjust the setting. If rear was as easy as the front to reach, I wouldn't consider spending the cash.
