Tein Camber plate, GC coilover, and KYB AGX question

Hey I am trying to install a set of TEIN camber plates my front suspension and i am haveing some difficulty with the placement of the nut and hat. When i put it together the strut top does not come all the way through the top of the plate making it difficult to get to the adjuster, I do not know if it is supposed to be like that or if i am installing it incorrectly. Any advice appreciated, I will post pics when i get home.

This is in a 1987 turbo FC

they raise the car by ooh .3 of an inch when i look at stock mount next to the tien unit. and the screw driver supplied with the kyb shocks is enough for adjustment....
